The LIN-Bus (Local Interconnect Network) is the newest and most universal serial communication system in the vehicle.
This is an open standard "beneath” CAN and is used where the CAN-Bus technology is too time-consuming.
LIN facilitates a simple communication for intelligent sensors and actuators for which the band width and flexibility of the CAN is not required.
